Mike is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor with over 14 years of experience working with children and families in a variety of settings. Mike completed his Bachelor’s degree at St. Joseph’s University and his Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology at LaSalle University. He is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable therapist who enjoys working with diverse populations. He incorporates a variety of therapeutic orientations into his practice, including, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Focused therapy, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. Mike’s philosophy of counseling consists of providing an environment of empathy and unconditional positive regard in which children and families can feel safe in developing a greater ability to communicate and employ appropriate therapeutic techniques to facilitate change.
Nancy Kline Gold, LPC-Vice President
Nancy Kline Gold is a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and an Approved Supervisor for the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She received her Master’s degree in Psychological Services in Education from the University of Pennsylvania and her post-master’s Certification in Family Therapy and School Consultation from the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic. Ms. Gold has over 30 years’ experience in developing programs for youth and families; she has devoted many years of study and practice to working with and changing families, schools and other systems. Nancy served on many community and state boards such as the Camden County Youth Services Commission and the Governor’s Advisory Committee for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, where she was able to bring a focus on family intervention to local and statewide policy and funding decisions. She is President of the Board for the Minuchin Center for the Family.
Marcus is the Clinical Director for Family Therapy and Consultation Services as well as a Clinical Supervisor of Therapists and Behavior Assistants. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the Catholic University of America, he went on to receive his Master’s in Clinical Counseling at LaSalle University. His journey with FTxCS began in August of 2009 as a Behavior Assistant during his time in graduate school. He went on to become a Master’s Level Counselor and then a Licensed Professional Counselor. In 2015, he was promoted to Clinical Supervisor, and in January 2108 was named Clinical Director. Marcus’s background and experience focuses on interventions with at-risk youth in the inner-cities of Philadelphia and Camden. His joy and passion comes from working with youth who realize their potential by overcoming ever present obstacles. Marcus utilizes a systemic approach to counseling in order to empower youth and families and encourage them to apply their skills in daily living. He feels that his work is strongly supported by the family-like atmosphere that exists in the working environment at Family Therapy and Consultation Services.
Anthony Pennant is a LMFT and an Approved Supervisor Candidate for the AAMFT. He received his Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University. He has a strong interest in treating children and families that are impacted by trauma, neglect and attachment issues following family disruption. Anthony has worked in various settings that have given him an understanding of the system of care in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Anthony currently enjoys providing supervision of MFT interns as he strongly believes in giving back to the MFT and social services community.
Debbie is a board certified and professionally licensed psychotherapist with over 16 years of experience in serving children and their families. Debbie is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor that provides clinical supervision to unlicensed Masters Clinicians working toward their LPC credential. Debbie completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology at LaSalle University. She is a knowledgeable and caring clinician who is highly dedicated to the success and wellness of the youth and families she serves. The philosophy of Debbie’s work is based on her belief that a child’s emotional well- being is dependent upon his or her opportunity for kind and compassionate social interactions. Such interactions are often our most profoundly healing remedies for life’s hardships.
Frederick is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Chaplain in the US Air Force. Frederick has his Masters’ degrees in Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy and Theology. He has been a Therapist since 1990 when he began working with adolescents in India. Frederick founded the Evershine Foundation for Education that provides education for about 100 underprivileged children in Bangalore, India. He has gained experience in the US with children and families in residential care and in his current position of Therapist and Clinical Supervisor for FTxCS where he has been employed since 2009. Frederick specializes in addressing mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD and Combat Trauma and Couple/Marital therapy.
Jennie is a Licensed Therapist for Family Therapy and Consultation Services and a Clinical Supervisor of Clinicians and interns. When children and families experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. Jennie’s great passion is bringing healing to children and families who have been through traumatic/stressful experiences. She has extensive experience working with youth and adults with emotional and behavioral issues as well as substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
Jennie has been trained in a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Family Systems, Solution Focused and Trauma Informed Therapy.
Jennie’s educational background includes a Masters in Social Work from Widener University as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Social Work from Millersville University. She became a Licensed Social Worker in 2001 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2003. Jennie is certified as an Approved Clinical Social Work Supervisor.
Sharon Lancaster-Director of Administration
Sharon Lancaster has over 30 years experience in the Administrative field. As Administrative Director, Sharon oversees all administrative functions of the agency. She is very goal and detail oriented and is primarily responsible for assisting employees, providers and third parties to navigate the paperwork often required in the social work and mental health field. She is often a liaison between the State or referring entities to assure a positive outcome to sometimes difficult situations involving financial obligations or expectations. Whether it’s an explanation of required paperwork, a sounding board or an ear on a difficult day, she handles each situation to resolution as it arises.
Sharon has always enjoyed helping others understand business practices and procedures, as well as the importance of organization. She has experience as a consultant providing administrative and technical support to individuals. Her first full time job, at age seventeen, was Administrative Assistant to the Principal of an Elementary School. Over the years, she has enriched her knowledge by supporting many top level executives in industries spanning from Commercial Insurance, Aquatic Sciences and Human Services.
Angelica Ortiz- Receptionist
Angelica has been a receptionist for almost 10 years. Before becoming a receptionist Angelica has worked as a Behavior Assistant and Counselor for over 15yrs. Angelica has strong communication skills and an outgoing, energetic personality. She thoroughly enjoys dealing with a wide variety of people and takes pride in being a receptionist. She is the first point of contact for the agency and provides administrative support. She ensures that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and
delivered with high quality and in a timely manner. She is equipped with a multitude of skills by providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks.Angelica is resourceful and proactive in linking clinical staff to the youth and families served. Angelica is a self-directed and independent worker who has taken the initiative to learn as much as possible about the agency in order to become a valuable resource.
Yeidi Gilliams – Administrative Assistant
Yeidi Gilliams is an Administrative Assistant with over 14 years’ experience in the administrative field. She is currently working towards her Bachelors in Business Administration. She has obtained her administrative experience working within the school system, non-profit organizations and residential facilities for adolescents. Yeidi works hard to accomplish all that is assigned to her and more. Her dedication and loyalty make her a great addition to our family!
