We provide Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) for Medical Assistance eligible youth, ages 0 to 21, and their families to help support with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

Philadelphia County Services

Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) are voluntary mental health services for Medical Assistance eligible youth and their families to help support with mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs.

  • The IBHS Program offers intensive individual and group therapy within the home, school, and community settings
  • Services are available to children ages 3 to 21.

Our services are provided by:

Mobile Therapist

PA Licensed Clinicians or Master level Clinicians under the supervision of a Licensed Clinician

Mobile Therapists provide intensive therapeutic services consisting of individual therapy and family therapy. They work with children, youths and young adults and their parents or caregivers to develop clinical goals for the treatment plan, ie process trauma, learn coping skills, etc.

Mobile Therapists model and teach strategies to help the youth and family feel empowered to accomplish their goals.

Behavioral Consultants

Licensed BCs and master’s level BCs

  Behavioral Consultants address the behavioral needs of children, youths and young adults and their parents or caregivers. Behavioral Consultants work with the youth and families to help develop treatment plans to decrease behaviors including but not limited to frustration tolerance, aggression, noncompliance, etc. through teaching skills to both youth and parents/guardians.

Behavioral Health Technicians

Registered Behavior Technician Certified and Master’s level Therapy Interns

Behavioral Health Technicians, formerly known as TSS Workers, help implement the treatment plan created by the Mobile Therapist and the Behavioral Consultants.

Behavioral Health Technicians help children, youths, and their young adults implement behavioral as well as social skills in all settings, ie. the home, the school, and in the community.

Care Coordinator

The Care Coordinator helps the children, youths and young adults and their parents or caregivers find resources that the family may need from housing resources to mental health resources, etc.

Family Peer Specialist

Although all the positions at our agency encourage and help to empower the family, the Family Peer Specialist is a person who has had mental health services previously or is a parent of a person who has had mental health services and can help the Family navigate the mental health system.

Family Peer Specialist helps families engage with services and receive knowledge and feedback from the perspective of a peer while empowering the family to understand their role as a member of the treatment team, providing support and coaching during meetings, and working with families to develop natural supports.

Clinical staff are trained in evidence-based practice including, but not limited to trauma informed interventions and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
