Staff Development & Training

FTxCS / UFS offers in-service training for its staff on a regularly scheduled basis.  Staff Development is supported through Clinical Supervision, guidance on higher education, development of internship opportunities, as well as training in the organizations’ policies and procedures and other protocols.

FTxCS / UFS provides training for staff that will increase their knowledge to address the needs of the youth and families that we serve.  Training topics include:  Trauma Informed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Nurtured Heart Approach, Grief and Loss, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Treatment Planning.

FTxCS / UFS staff are available to provide in-service training for agencies and schools.  Staff hold specialties and credentials in many areas that can enhance skills and meet the training requirements of agencies serving youth and families.  Specialties include:  Trauma Informed CBT; Nurtured Heart Approach, Structural Family Therapy, and many others.

Minuchin Center for the Family

UFS has formed a partnership with the Minuchin Center for the Family to provide intensive training and supervision in Structural Family Therapy that is open to the community.  UFS and MCF offer a 20 hour Intensive Structural Family Therapy Training program.  This training program offers 20 CEU’s and is conducted by Senior Faculty of the Minuchin Center:  Daniel Minuchin, MA, LMFT and Richard Holm, DSW, LCSW, LMFT.
